Macaroni and beef

One of my favorite dishes growing up was Macaroni and Beef. My mom doesnt use a recipe she just adds tomato products and stuff till it tastes right to her. It ends up a little different every time. Today I made it and this is what I used:

1 lb macaroni (any pasta would work)
1 onion
1 1/2 lb ground turkey or beef (I always have cooked frozen)
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 can italian diced tomatoes
2 small cans tomato sauce
1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese

  1. Boil the pasta, drain.
  2. Chop the onion and saute in the pot you just cooked the pasta in until it starts to turn brown in spots.
  3. Add ground turkey or beef, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
  4. Add the pasta to the tomato mixture.
  5. Stir well and add the parmesan.
  6. Serves 8
